Tourism
There is a good rail service along the coast from Italy (Ventimiglia) –Monte Carlo –Nice-Antibes-Cannes – (Rail info). If you remain on the coastline, it is more efficient to use the train than driving.
However if you wish to explore the area it is best to have your own transportation, particularly if you wish to visit some of the villages and towns inland, e.g.
- Saint Paul de Vence.
- Eze
- Mougins
- Gourdon
- Greolieres (45 mn drive)
- Gorge du Verdon (2h drive)/li>

Climate
The weather in May is changeable, normally the sun shines until the day before the film festival starts and then the rain comes for two weeks. We’re hoping a similar pattern next year. Bear in mind that there may be some rainy days, hopefully not the 9th!

Car park in the centre
Parking on the street in Antibes centre is notoriously hard. If you booked a hotel in the centre and plan to have your own car, please make sure the hotel/residence you choose offers a parking option.
Parking should be manageable on the wedding day. The place of ceremony, Antibes Cathédrale, is a few hundred yards away from a public parking. The reception venue will offer its own parking facility.
